Abstract
Marketing strategies play a crucial role in influencing and shaping consumer behaviour in today's highly competitive business environment. Organizations employ various marketing strategies, including product differentiation, pricing techniques, promotional activities, branding, digital marketing, and customer relationship management, to attract and retain consumers. The primary objective of this study is to examine the role of marketing strategies in shaping consumer behaviour and purchasing decisions. The study is based on secondary data collected from books, research articles, journals, reports, and credible online sources related to marketing and consumer behaviour. The findings indicate that effective marketing strategies significantly affect consumer perceptions, preferences, attitudes, and buying intentions. Promotional campaigns, social media marketing, personalized advertising, and brand positioning are found to be particularly influential in creating consumer awareness and encouraging purchase decisions. Furthermore, factors such as trust, brand image, product quality, and perceived value contribute to long-term customer loyalty and satisfaction. The increasing use of digital platforms has transformed the way consumers interact with brands, making marketing communication more targeted and interactive. The study concludes that marketing strategies are not merely tools for increasing sales but also serve as mechanisms for understanding and influencing consumer needs and behaviour. Businesses that effectively align their marketing strategies with consumer expectations are more likely to achieve competitive advantage and sustainable growth. The research provides valuable insights for marketers, business organizations, researchers, and policymakers seeking to understand the dynamic relationship between marketing practices and consumer behaviour in the modern marketplace.
